Here are three ways to help you get more confident and comfortable speaking English.

*Read aloud

Reading books is a great way to learn new vocabulary and grammar, but you'll learn even more if you read aloud. Reading aloud is a great way to practice pronouncing English sounds, which can help you feel more confident when talking to native speakers.

You can also try audiobooks to improve your listening skills. Some websites with audiobooks, such as Audible and some YouTube channels, allow you to read along while listening.

*Sing along to English music

Another way to become a more confident speaker is to sing along to your favorite English songs. You can find the words to many songs on websites like Genius.com and MetroLyrics.com. These sites also have the meanings of some songs and other information about the musicians.

*Have conversations in English

Children don't learn to speak by studying, so you shouldn't try to learn English only by studying. You also need to have lots of conversations! When you're in a situation where you have to use English, your speaking, listening, and grammar skills will improve, which will make you more confident.

Online lessons are a great way to talk to English speakers around the world. You could also join a conversation group at your local library, or start a group of your own!
